Before the Interview

Often, in our excitement about the interview, we forget to prepare properly. The time you take to prepare could make an enormous difference to your future!
Do Your Homework
Find out what they do and how long they’ve been in business. Gather information about the person or people in the interview process and any accomplishments the company has achieved. Utilize this information in the interview.
Interview Yourself
This may seem odd, but it helps you get to know yourself better and make your points more effectively. Try practicing these questions:
-Tell me about your background...
-What attracts you to the job you are applying for?
-What are your strengths and weaknesses?
-Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
-Describe your relationships with your past supervisor and co-workers...
-Share a significant accomplishment you attained on your last position...
-What job function(s) are the most difficult for you? How have you dealt with them?
-Why should you be hired for this position?
-Are you willing to relocate?

-Leave early to avoid being late
-Smile and be yourself
-Be aware of body posture and fidgeting during the conversation
-Make eye contact consistently
